Based on a real urban terminal railroad in Chicago. See Readme file for more info.
This is a WIP but it's getting there. You will find a few flaws here and there. The included scenarios are not complete so you will probably mostly have to play around on your own in the editor. Have fun!
Requirements
I know there is a pretty heavy amount of required assets. I tried to keep them as minimal as I could, but I am really trying to pour as much detail into this route as I can and I've had to pull assets from many different packages to make that happen. I may attempt to minimize some of these in the future but this is how it is for now. Sorry ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Payware:
-Chicago Racetrack
-Marias Pass
-Penn Coal
-VNHRR (Montana Hi Line)
-Penisula Corridor San Francisco to Gilroy
-North Jersey Coast (pretty much optional. I only used a few decals from this route)
Freeware:
-3D Trains ScaleRail and Urban Landscapes (trying to figure out where I might have put some of these assests since the majority of the trackage comes from The Racetrack. However, I know I was experimenting with some modified ScaleRail tracks and can't remember where I may have placed them. Not having this may result in missing track in one or two small places.)
*Well, looks like their website is down as of April 2022. If you don't have ScaleRail, I don't think it will be too much of an issue.

Additional Comments
Make sure you have this pack! A few of the original testers wrote to me saying that the tracks were missing in the street running parts of the route. 100% of the time, it was because they didn't have this.

great little route! I've delivered a few loads in my semi to goose island and always wondered what all the abandoned tracks use to lead to.. Thanks for sharing!

made an account just to comment on this. i love the route, it's amazing. please keep updating it if you can.
Thanks so much! Love these screenshots.
Sorry for the late reply. You can find the most updated version on the Railworks America website. There are additional addons you'll need but most of them are free or optional.
hey i have everything installed and the route looks like this can someone tell me what to do?
Hi. You may have all of the purchased required addons but you might not have them activated on Steam. Even small ones, for example, US/European asset packs (both of these come free with the game), need to be active because they contain things like basic ground textures. In Steam, navigate to top menu to LIBRARY > COLLECTIONS. In the menu on the left, scroll to Train Sim Classic and right click. Select PROPERTIES from the drop down menu. Navigate to DLC on the left side of the new window. Review what DLCs you have active.
If that doesn't work, then you probably don't have one of the required DLCs so make sure to review the requirements I have listed.

thank you!
Hello, I have a few questions:
1: How much of the scenery is done.
2: Is there any reports of any errors with the route.
3: When this route is finished, will it come with some scenarios.
Hey.
1: How much of the scenery is done.
I suppose it's done unless someone makes more assets that would be relevant. I tried doing that myself and gave up. Too complicated and no time.
2: Is there any reports of any errors with the route.
Maybe. Depends on what DLCs and addons you have installed. If you encounter and error, please post about it.
3: When this route is finished, will it come with some scenarios.
The latest version of this route is available on the RailworksAmerica website. There should be a couple of unfinished scenarios but the route is meant to be played in Freeroam for the most part. Think of it as a sandbox.
Is there a way you can make it into a quick drive? because i can't save what i have done in the route
