Well, I did purchase WH Blue and AP Veg just for this route and have not regretted it a bit! The C&K is superb, easily in the top tier of routes free or pay. WH and AP veg will surely be used in other routes, especially steam era. That's just the way it is in TSC. Longtime steam-era fan, hope you will continue development of C&K. Many Thanks!
Thanks for your kind words, really appreciate it. Slowly building towards Tweedmouth at the moment.
Just downloaded this route and it really is great. The scenery is nice and detailed and it really looks the part. Great work blob . I can see you've done a lot of research into the route to make it accurate. The one thing I'd like to point out is that maybe the signalling isn't correct. This might be a good source if it's something you'd want to look into, has the signalling diagrams for the stations on the line https://www.s-r-s.org.uk/html/lnerdiagrams.htm . (Obviously EXACTLY the same isn't always possible in TSC due to the types of signals available and how they operate, as well as what you're trying to create - for example some tracks for some passing loops on the line appear to only be accessible in one direction according to the diagrams, but maybe you'd prefer bidirectional)
Not saying you should be changing it though, what you've done already is great and I can imagine it took a lot time and work
Thanks for your comment, your kind words and the link to the site with the signalling diagrams. The routes signaling isnt 100%. This is partially because the signalling changed in different periods, trainsim lacks som signalling types, but mostly because i chose not to (for the first release). Currently working on Tweedmouth and might change (mostly ad) some signalling on the current route after that. Again thanks for your comment, really appreciate it.
Absolutely stunning route, its great to see you progressing with this!
Thanks for your comment. Appreciate it.
A really wonderful route, made with such attention to detail. Did I read somewhere you live aboard and have never been to this line, which makes this work more amazing if I am right!!
Thanks for your comment. Much appreciated. I dont live in the UK and get all information from books and online soures. You can find them in the manual if you are interested.
Do you know how to add the new version of the route and get it to replace the old version? I've copied the contents and assets, but the route still doesn't extent behond coldstream.
It seems to use the same scenario folder based on the two separate version downloads I have. The major thing to do is put the new Assets folder in as it adds Clutter, Commercial, Decals, Farm, Lofts, and Sheds. Once that's done, head to Content/Routes/e339cb22-4bc0-409e-b8fa-0c4ba6626dc0/Scenarios and back up any scenarios that did not come with the route (yours or others), then DELETE the e339cb22-4bc0-409e-b8fa-0c4ba6626dc0 folder. Drag the new one from the v2 archive into place, restore any scenarios to try out on the new version (you can edit them as needed), and you're good to go I believe!
If it doesnt work, then the first thing i would do after unpacking al the filles and overwriting everyting:
- clearing the cache in the settings menu of the game. And try again
- If this doesnt work i would delete the blueprint.pak file in the Assets/blob/cornhill and Kelso folder and as Cyclone descibed, delete the route folder that can be found at Contens/routes and is called e339cb22-4bc0-409e-b8fa-0c4ba6626dc0.
- copy the route folder (from the download) in the content/routes directory again.
- start TS and try again
Please let me know if this worked.
Superb route - lovely atmosphere and excellent modelling throughout. Thank you so much.

This is a stunning piece of work. However, I cannot justify paying £30 for a required route that i'd never use. I got the Weardale and Woodhead routes for a couple of pounds each but sorry, it's a no from me. :(
I understand. The Stainmore route is on sale right now if you are interested. This route uses it as a template. I personally think the stainmore route is one of most enjøyable routes.
Not really a fan of Kettle routes, TBH. I don't mind a few as AI Rail tours in scenarios but I usually end up grinding to a halt if I attempt to drive one!
I think the bigger concern is that the template is from a route that, for all intents and purposes, itself no longer works in TSC. Unless this has changed of late (I know signals were removed, though this would break scenarios requiring them), it makes the use of that route's template look like a poor decision. That said, I have already bought the route before things broke and can always try to download an older build of TSC to play the actual route itself, so there is that option. I am sure the problems with that route have nothing to do with yours. =)
Personally i dont have any problems with the Stainmore route. There is a problem with the dwarf signals from that route (the fix of the SSS site removes these) but scenarios run fine on my PC. The Cornhill and Kelso route doesnt use the signals from stainmore so this isnt a problem.
I started working on this route before the problems with the signal existed. That said stainmore has quite some NER assets, a lot of unique ground textures and assets. The route is still worth it in my opinion.
