As does the UP, BNSF also interchanges trains across the Canadian border with both CN and CPKC (in this scenario CP). BNSF's main west coast transfer with CPKC is at Sweetgrass, MT, where grain, oil, and a few manifests are exchanged. Relevant in this scenario is unit oil symbol UCPLEVP, which originates in the Alberta oil fields on the CP, is transferred to BNSF at Sweetgrass, and then runs to Levee, CA, near Fresno. This train can run on two different routings, one of which puts it down the Feather River Canyon, as is the case today. In three parts you will take your 109 car fully loaded crude train down the canyon, with SS AC4400CWs on the headend for the ultimate experience.
Part one takes you from Keddie to Virgila, and is 40 minutes long , very easy.
Part two takes you from Virgilia to Poe, and is 120 minutes long , medium.
Part three takes you from Poe to Oroville, and is 70 minutes long, very easy.
Remember, no save and load on these locos, so make sure you have enough time to complete each part!
These scenarios are set during sunset, with the final part being fully in darkness. If you can't see anything upon loading into the third scenario, I'd recomend turning down your contrast a little bit and turning up ambient light.
As usual for NA routes, the signals are very buggy, espeacilly on the third part. Follow along with the dispatcher and other text prompts and you'll be fine.
This time, your train is a mix of Searchlight and default power, which means that you cannot draw power from 4 of 6 locomotives. The only time this is a problem is near James, where there is a very long flatspot. Other that there, since the whole route is at a constat 1% downhill grade, you make track speed easy.
As usual, payware requirements are linked below, the rest is freeware and linked in the readme, as is much more prototype and scenario info.
Happy hauling!
Patch 2/22/25-The keyboard input error has been fixed. In order to fix this, the requirments have changed slightly (no longer requires Tehachapi, now requires Sherman Hill and Clinchfield instead). Third part might require an F2 cancel for some rock hoppers, but if it does, it's only yard stock.

For some unknown reason, the AC4400s do not respond to any keyboard input on any of the scenarios. I switched the lead units out with SD70ACU units and all is fine. The AC4400s work on other routes. Have you experienced this?
I don't know which version of the AC44 you have, but there are two. Steam and SS site. you may have steam version and they've used the SS site one. EDIT: nvm you are right i have the same issue
I've tried both versions with the latest updates and had the same results
I only experience the same issue with scenario's 2 & 3.
I have the steam version. I had this same issue initially with the second and third parts, I got it working on the second part by doing a full restart. Never got the third to work, assumed it was just a bug on my end somewhere.
I've tried several restarts, reinstalled the route. I could never get the AC4400s to work. Switched to the SD70ACu and away I went.
I am having same trouble as commented by Claude350. I have the retail version of Searchlight Simulations AC44000CW version 1.1.1.0 sounds like you need a patch and revamp these 3 scenarios.
Thanks Poochwilly
I wish this would get fixed.
This issue will be fixed this upcoming weekend.
That's is really good to hear. Thank you for looking into the issue.
Alright, just spent the day looking into the issue. The source of said issue appears to be how I created the second and third parts (by cloning the previous part and using the "run" part of the editor to move the player train to the next starting location). Which means the only way to fix this is by remaking both parts. It's not as bad as it sounds, I have all of the text in a document and can copy/paste it easily enough, but it's going to take a while longer.
I'm patient.
If I remove the AC4400_UP pack [nwkrailfan ] in Tehachapi Pass, all the keybinds function as for all 3 scenarios. This is also the true for the SouthernPacific's: Tennessee Pass Subdivision - A Dangerous Descent where the GE AC4400CW CP Golden Weaver is used as Lead/Player loco. I trust we get the update soon.
Is it possible to remove the UP unit and use only the SS CP units?
Huh, that's interesting. The UP units are only AI in all of the above listed scenarios (actually they're not used at all in the Tennessee Pass one, don't know why that affects anything), so it should be easy to remove them. Let me go look at this right now, if it's as easy as that then I can get a patch out tomorrow.

Sorry, my mistake concerning the SouthernPacific's: Tennessee Pass Subdivision - A Dangerous Descent. I swopped the GE AC4400CW SP with the AC4400_UP pack [nwkrailfan ]. Not sure why I did this?
All fixed and patch has been uploaded. Also, I just checked, I don't have keyboard input on the Tennessee Pass scenario either, even though mine uses the LPM AC44. This is a really weird bug, I'll have to keep it in mind for any future scenarios using the SS AC44s.

I got parts 1 and 3 to work correctly. Part 2 is still not working with the keyboard. I'm gonna take a look to make sure no TP locos are still in the scenario.
Just looked, I didn't put the updated 2nd scenario in the folder. Doing that now.

Thanks
I'm enjoying running the updated versions. Thank you repairing these 😊😊👍🏾
