A mod that lets the ICE 1 from Kassel-Würzburg couple to other trains with Scharfenberg couplers. It allows it to be dragged by some of my mods, such as BR 101, BR 193, BR 218. It also adds an uncouple prompt to the back of the ICE 1 power cars.
There are two versions of the mod:
Replacement Version
Modifies the existing ICE 1. Keep in mind this version won't be compatible with any game updates or mods that modify the original ICE 1 RVD, RVM or RVV files, since one will overwrite the other.
Variants Version
Doesn't modify the original ICE 1, instead adds a variant, for use in free roam mode or scenario creator. It should appear in the free roam spawn menu under 'BR401 DB' as:
- DB BR401 12car (Scharfenberg)
- DB BR401 Power Car (Scharfenberg)
Changelog
- 2024/07/08 - Added replacement version.
- 2024/07/07 - Changed coupler ID from Scharfenberg_ICE1_F to Scharfenberg_Type10, fixed various bugs with the coupler hatch, for example where it could couple even when the hatch was closed. Modifed the coupler so it moves now when coupled.
- 2024/04/17 - First version.
Bugs
- The coupler hatch doesn't have a collision mesh, so some trains will clip into it.
- Formation designer doesn't detect that the replacement version should be able to couple to other trains.
Notes
- You don't need both versions, pick which one you prefer.
- Currently doesn't work with formation designer.

Installation Instructions
Replacement version: Put MJKCP_CouplerMod_ICE1_Replacement.pak in 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Train Sim World 4\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC' folder (modify path as appropriate).
Variants version: Put MJKCP_CouplerMod_ICE1.pak in 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Train Sim World 4\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC' folder (modify path as appropriate).

Is it possible to add a "normal" coupler to the back of the power car so that the back can couple to other locomotives and coaches? (Like the BR 193 and IC coaches for example)
There is an IC coach here that can connect the power car to normal coaches, but I can also try and put a normal coupler on the back of the power car itself at some point

Where is coupler?
I installed replacement pack.
It should modify the ICE 1
If you open the coupler hatch and drive another train with a Scharfenberg coupler into it, they should couple automatically
ice1 is not equipped with scharfenberg coupler both in 2 version (i spawned schafenberg coupler train)
i tried it with br401 with Schafenberg coupler but it is not working.
