Hello, I have created the announcements for the ScotRail Express DLC.
The announcements have a filter to sound as realistic as possible. In combination with the driving sounds you will get the best driving experience.
You can use the announcements with the external programmes FIS2005 or Soundpad (Steam), for example.
Important:
The sentences in the announcements have a longer gap, just like in real life. There are announcements for the next stop, announcements when you are standing on the platform and shortly after departure.
The announcement for the next stop should be triggered about 800 yards before the platform, for example using a hotkey.
There is also a welcome announcement with important information when you are standing at the start platform.
As usual, I recommend the software SOUNDPAD from Steam or on the developer website (only 4.99). In my opinion, this is the best programme for playing announcements via hotkey.
Currently available announcements:
Edinburgh Waverley to Glasgow Queen Street
MORE TO COME
If you like it, I will create more announcements.

Announcements ScotRail Express VERSION 1.zip 2 MB · Added 22 Feb 2024 · Downloaded 510×IMPORTANT fix for the correct announcement title in Soundpad and other playback programmes. I recommend adding the mp3 files again if the title of the announcement is displayed incorrectly.
Previously uploaded files have been downloaded 131 times before being withdrawn.

announcements are missing for Eastbound (to Edinburgh Waverley
Yes, I'm still working on that. :)
how do you use the soundpad thing for it? i might get it at some point if a mod comes for the midland mainline or GWE routes
Hey, under the comment from JohnKovacs, I have explained the operation with the software Soundpad.
I would like it if you could do announcements for Thameslink Class 700 Rainhan to Luton (Dartford) and Luton (Dartford) to Rainham
Also the same for the Bakerloo line. If nothing else, at least stations announcements, for example when the train enters the platform "The train now approaching is to H&W, please stand back from the platform edge" Just click on the button :) I play BKL and I noticed that they corrected the timetable with a new update and trains run more often. Maybe they were before, but I just noticed it now. Announcements like this would fit in perfectly!
I'll take a look :)
will you make a mod for goblin line and fife line when they come out?
Yes, announcements for Goblin Line are ready to be published :)
I’m almost avoiding playing on the Goblin Line waiting for the announcements to be released. Just isn’t the same without them!
Would love to see the GOBLIN line. I'm trying to make one now but if yours is better i'll use it lol
Yes, announcements for the Goblin Line DLC are already ready and will be published on release :)
hi
will u add from glasgow to edinburgh too ?
Yes, but it takes a while. :)
It would be fun if you ever found a voice with Scottixh accent.
Your announcements would be useful on the Scottish trains which don't have in game announcement. So I hope you will be able to make more of them. If I could, I would try to make them myself, but I don't have the hang of it.
Isnt there a feature on this route already? I guess you can play Announces in the train.

One question. I assume the Soundpad has to be on during gameplay...now, what button on the keyboard should I press to activate the announcements? In this way, I always have to press the windows key so that the start menu appears with the programs running, and so I click on the announcements on the soundpad. Can announcements be activated directly on a key during the game so that I don't have to press this windows key?
In Soundpad go to file, preferences and in the Hotkey tab you can decide for yourself which keys you want to give which function. I have assigned "Play next file" to the "Q" key. If you are standing at the start platform, you can trigger the first announcement (Welcome) manually by double-clicking. Then you can return to TSW, drive off and press Q. So you only have to trigger the first announcement manually once at the start. Otherwise you can continue the announcements with the Q button throughout the journey. That's how I always do it. Soundpad can run minimised in the background without any problems and the hotkey of your choice is still recognised. You can adjust the volume at the top right in Soundpad. I have the volume set to 30%.
