Uses official TfL recordings for use between Gospel Oak and Barking from Freedom of Information requests.
As there is no recording for Barking Riverside, when travelling eastbound the destination is Barking.
All edited together in Audacity so timings can be adjusted if needed (please comment).
The hardest part of making this pack was finding all of the relevent recordings out of thousands of files...
Features:
- Current recordings for the class 710
- Interchanges announcements like "change here" and exit here"
- 70+ manually activated announcements for the Class 710 and 378/172
- A few easter eggs
Next update: late April/early May
Please note: I am prioritising other packs like BML & ECML first
- Will include older recordings for the class 172/378 (which used to run on this route)
- Will replace fictional "TfL West Anglia" announcement with "London Overground lines" at Tottenham Hale/Walthamstow
- Will remove fictional "exit for Victoria line" at Walthamstow Queens Road
- Will add "where this train terminates" after "Next station x" at Upper Harringay going westbound and at Woodgrange Park going westbound
Future updates
- Will updated interchanges with tube line names if I can find better sounding recordings (I removed these as they sounded wrong)
- Inclusion of Barking Riverside (if I can find the recording)
Requirements
Installation Instructions
- Extract the ZIP file
- Open Soundpad
- Make a new collection (eg. for Barking Riverside to Gospel Oak) and drag and drop all the files from the correct folder
- Set keybinds for stuff like play next recording
- Sort the files using the arrow to make sure they are all in the right position
Alternatively you can just open the files with any audio player

if you need i can p[ossibly provide a simple recording of the barking riverside announcement. how would i contact you to do so?
Thanks for your work, Zeremony ! I know how much work this is, as I tried to make Soundpad announcements for the LIRR. But as there are too many lines with different stops, my attempt resulted in a rather complicated system. After discovering your solution idea of using just pressing the "Play next audiofile" button instead of playing a specific soundfile, I rethinked my first attempt.
I use Soundpad with the Elgato Streamdeck plugin, so I first defined one key on it for "Play next audiofile". Then I decided to combine it with the door open/closed buttons.
So now when I close the doors, the departing sound is played simultaneously. During travel, when the barber pole appears, I press the next audiofile button and the approaching sound is played. And when I open doors on arrival, the stopped at sound is played.
To get this to work I had to add an additional silent soundfile on top of the list, because I don't need an announcement when I open the doors for the very first passengers.
If you want to make own announcements, you can try https://texttospeech.io/, there are many different voices available, but there are some limitations for free users. If you need to make several announcements, prepare a txt file with all announcements you need, then copy paste it into the website and you get one big soundfile that you can later cut into pieces with audicity. BTW, I added some reverb to your files with the macro function of audicity.
Thanks again and keep up the good work !!
EDIT: Would you mind for your next announcement packs NOT to use spaces in folder and subfolder names ? I found out that the Soundpad plugin for Elgato Streamdeck can't handle it. When I use the "Load Soundlist" command Soundpad doesn't find the folder because of the spaces. THANKS

Are all the other files expected to be in there? (IMG, strange audio files, etc.?) Oh and the mod gives you an error while unpacking
