BR 406 PIS Enhancements (MKN)

With Mannheim - Kaiserslautern came a new rendition of the BR 406 for Train Sim World with various upgrades over the previous version seen back in 2020 on Köln - Aachen. As part of the updates, the 406 was fitted with more recent PIS tech to allow it to display destinations dynamically based on the timetable and route it's used on instead of the fixed system used previously. Unfortunately this has also lead to a downgrade in overall visuals as the new PIS setup has been redone from scratch using a different font which is significantly less accurate.

This mod makes numerous improvements to the PIS of the BR 406 from Mannheim - Kaiserslautern to improve the overall visuals of the system on this train, using the BR411 PIS from Frankfurt - Fulda as a base. Changes made include replacing the font on all screens with a far superior looking one, adjusting the layout of the PIS to be more realistic and increasing the brightness of the interior and exterior screens to make them more visible during the day as per reality.

As a bonus, this mod also increases the sensitivity of the Brake Lever in the cab to bring it in line with other TSW trains and making the brakes faster to control when using a keyboard.

This mod is fully compatible with Myron's Cab Camera Height patch.

Installation Instructions

Download the .pak file and move it into TSW's DLC directory, this is usually located here: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Train Sim World X\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC"

Can u create other PIS mods for Rabe523? i created a Süwex Repaint. Destinations like Mannheim and Kaiserslautern ?

For some reason this crashes the game when you open any of the passenger doors... I already tested which other mod could be conflicting by shortly removing those but that doesn't seem to be the case :/

I think I have found the cause for the crashing problem. Still need to solve it and repack the mod, hoping to get a fix out within the next day or so at most.

Could you maybe do 2 more things; making some of the special destinations such as from your FTF mod available for this ICE 3M, and if possible fix that the custom set destinations are not shown on the black/yellow screens in the passenger door areas?

Special Destinations are route dependant so that will need a Station Directory Mod which I am working on, I don't suspect I will be able to edit those displays in the door areas but I will have a look.
