Unlimited Substitution for German Locomotives (v1.1)

This mod increases the chance a locomotive is substituted/layered into timetable services it isn't intended for, providing the ability to use your owned locomotives and route add-ons in many more ways than setup by default.

"Increased chance" because there are a lot of different factors which depend on how substitution works and if or how a locomotive is eligible for substitution. Some of these factors I have no influence on (I can't access nor edit the parameters), but for others parameters I can and this is what this mod is about.

Locos marked with ("X") are separate loco addons and are not contained within the aforementioned route. However, even if acquired separately they need this route work.

In Detail & Future Plans

For the first submission of this mod, it will only include changed parameters on the locomotive we want to use instead of the default one for a timetable service. Each pak file listed below contains the dedicated RVD (Rail Vehicle Definition) file with changed parameters to increase the likelyness this locomotive can be substituted (Note that this just affects if a loco is substituted or not, not how much this substituted formation will appear in AI traffic which is controlled by a parameter in the formation to sub into like explained in next paragraph).

However, there is also the ability to change substitution parameters (or even allow substitution at all) for the locomotive which is about to get replaced by substitution. This is usually done in the formation files which normally reside in the Gameplay plugin of a route or loco DLC. I'm planning to submit formation file modifications like that in the future. Especially for routes whose vehicles don't allow substitution at all by default.

For the moment, focus is on german locomotives only, minus the ones with a '-' sign in their plugin names, because the Editor doesn't allow me to create plugins with such. If anyone knows a workaround, let me know in the comments.

MUs are a bit more complicated to substitute because they need to be in a fixed formation and consist of several unique RVDs. I might will add them in the future.

Could solve the issue of some pak files making the original DLC disappear when installing mod. Now adding paks for the following locos:

This mod also should work with older TSW versions as pak files are created with .dlc files. Just try it out.

Warning:
One thing to consider is that I edited locos in a way to make them substitute into services they aren't intended for and in some case replace much stronger or faster locos. Therefore it could be that you can't finish some timetable services in time or at all. For example because the subbed loco doesn't have the power to overcome a certain gradient with given load.

If AI traffic is unrealistic, keep in mind that you can delete or disable a certain pak at any time. For enabling/disabling I can recommend you TaskPlay's Mod Manager

Installation Instructions

Installation:
Download the pak files you want. You need to have the dedicated DLC installed so the mod has an effect. Look above under "Pak files included for the following locos" to see which DLCs you need. Above you got the links to the product pages on Steam.

After downloading, copy or move the pak file/s into the DLC folder under (Train Sim World)\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC .

For Steam, this is (path to your steam library)\steamapps\common\Train Sim World 5\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC.

Uninstalling by just deleting the pak files from your DLC folder. Recommended if you experience crashes or original DLCs from disappearing in the menu.

You can use TaskPlay's Mod Manager to enable/disable the mod without completely deleting the pak files or just manually moving the pak files in a different folder or subfolder.
