Found the original sound files to be very lacking.
-Redesigned and layerd the engine sound files to create a more full sounding low end, and a rougher exhaust note.
-Fixed the ridiculously loud dyno sounds and added a cooling fan layer
-Changed the CSX and UP horn to a leslie 5 chime
The only thing required for each mod is the loco you wish to change the sound on
Shoutout to SpaceyKat for showing me the ropes and helping me through the process.

I only tested the SPG GP38-2 and I gotta say it's pretty damn good! The horn is awesome as well but I wish it'd be continuous and not only a short blast while still pressing the horn button... And yeah, looks like there's no horn file for the HSC GP38-2.
Ok so the reason I did this is because DTG didn't include an "in" and "out" parameter for the horn on the CSX GP38. This means that you can only use one sound file for the horn and if you use a loop then there will be no ramp up and ramp down on the horn, it sounds really unnatural. So I thought I would compromise and just put an average length blast in so we could enjoy the ramp up and echo.
As for HSC, I thought that the DTG horn was ok as it was.
Cheers
Geardy this sounds wonderful, if possible I'm curious as to learning this process for our products at SPS, if you wouldn't mind giving us some guidance your help would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS I SENT A REQUEST! DISCORD: DUDEWITHTHEBIKE
Good job !
Cheers ledge !
Nice sound. the exhaust note is much more audible know! Could you please make sound mods for the SD40-2's as well?
Hi mate, thank you for your feedback. Griggs has already got some SD40-2 sounds on this website that slap. I'm in the process of making a sound mod for the BNSF SD40-2 at the moment.
Cheers
Yes , I also have Griggs mods and i love them. I wondered if you could also make the turbo whine louder in the middle and higher notches (4 to 8 notch) in the other SD40-2'S especially the cane creek and sherman hill ones! Looking forward for the BNSF SD40-2 sound mod ! Thank you again for the GP38-2 mod! Cheers mate!
much thx mate. minus the horn but i understand why you did that way great mode keep em coming!
I am sorry for being that person but would someone kindly give me the install path for this? I put these in the TS2Prototype -> DLC folder but they are not working for me so I am thinking I dropped them in wrong. Thank you in advance!
This is rather unfortunate, but is appears that with TSW5, the horn PAK no longer works properly. Instead of the horn looping, the sound byte just plays over and over, giving you blast after blast of the horn. Any chance that could be looked into?
GOOD JOB !
What a difference, now It feels like I sit in the real cab. And when I say feel, I mean it, 'cause I have a Buttkicker Gamer attached to my chair and this really rocks !!! The original sound had not enough bass, so it felt like a ride with a HST before...
THANKS !

is a combined pak possible too for the routes
like combining the following 3 into 1 file
!TSWModGEARDY_SJF_GP38_DynamicBrake.pak
!TSWModGEARDY_SJF_GP38_Engine.pak
!TSWModGEARDY_SJF_GP38_Horn.pak
and the other 2 routes too?
reducing it to 3 mod files must be possibleinstead of the 8 now is HSC missing the horn file?
Hi mate, I did it like this so people can pick and choose which sound mods they want to apply. There is no advantage to having them all in one folder.
This way people can (for example) leave the horn .pak out if they don't like the horn sound I've used.
