ECML 1998 V1.4

A small update to ECML 1998.

  1. HST's have now got Valenta sounds (BETA version, sounds not finnished, WIP) , at this point it has only external sounds (although the cab suffers from bleed from external sounds on notching up and down, not quite figure out th33at one yet.
  2. ) Spawning on foot is now possible!!! with simulation errors corrected
  3. 1M78 path corrected
  4. Class 20 DRS added (low res body, i will updadte to hi-res at some point)

Looks like rain actually, do the wipers have any affect?

I seem to recall this happening to the Frieghtliner class 66 add-on after one of the core updates earlier in the year and the wipers don't help; but this isn't happening on the HST in your timetable for me and it is odd that it would be different for different people.

Thanks for putting in so much effort on this, I had completely missed v1.0, particularly liking the all the statics in the Donny yards, makes it look completely different! Not so much loving the sounds in the HST cab though right now, being deafened by the outside sound every time you touch the throttle isn't really playable for me, but still I am really looking forward to driving the freight services.

The HST sounds is a big improvement on the MTU sounds, unfortunately reverse engineering a cooked blueprint does hamper things a lot , I wanted to capture the essence of the original HSTs as I remember them, never drove an HST so the internals are, for me , not essential for now, hope you enjoy the freights !

Great to see this is still being developed - thanks Mad31basher.

I'm still having some odd things going on with the initial starter signal clearing. I first tried 1A15 10:05 Leeds - Kings X. As usual the 'next station' information appeared momentarily in the top left, then disappeared. I checked the '9' map and the route was shown, with the first 2 signals at red, but signals after that at proceed aspects. About 4 minutes after departure time, suddenly the information in the top-left reappeared and the signal cleared, and all was well from there. I decided to try it again with the same schedule, and this time, although I wasn't aware of doing anything differently, the signal never cleared (I left it until about 10 mins after departure time).

I then tried 1S15 0830 Kings X - Edinburgh. The same thing happened, and this time the destination in the top left re-appeared and the signal cleared about 3 minutes after departure time. In both cases I checked the route ahead and there were no conflicting moves, so I'm not sure why the signal's clearing late, or why it sometimes doesn't clear at all. I'll keep messing about and let you know if I discover anything. Thanks again for your work on this timetable.

In order to get the AI entry to overlap the player trains I had to put long loading times due to the difficulty I was having getting the player timetable to work ,I haven't driven many services, so its possible there are more long waits in the timetable, but when i first built the timetable I had no experience on UE4 so it was a steep learning curve, I really need to go through and adjust all the handovers trimmings , so they are very generous, which is why you get those strange waits

Its been hard work getting 590 paths to integrate and perform as expected, I know for fact there's more glitches that need smoothing out

this is really cool, love seeing this era on this route all were missing is a 225 (hopefully we get it one day), would you be interested in making something like this for GWE pr MML as that would be really nice to see too, i know it takes a while to make a timetable and i would do it myself but i have no idea how, understand of course if its not something you want to do but would love to see seem other timtables in a 90s era wher possible. Great work
