This is my attempt at making the rain visuals better and less obstructive, similar to that of the AP rain in TS1.
I made this in the light of TSW3 having the same texture as TSW2 so I wanted to experiment with fixing it, I will update this to TSW3 as soon as it comes out!

A newly updated version for TSW4 has been added, this version is specific for TSW4 and may cause issues if used on TSW3/TSW2.
UPDATE: BETTER RAIN VERSION 2
So, I've still been messing about on and off with Better Rain and I've managed to get the rain to appear much smaller, adding to the realistic feel of the rain.
Mod is still being worked on, may look into the TSW3 floor splashes themselves too, but enjoy for now!
Check the photos for a comparison!
I've withdrawn the old version of Better Rain, but if enough people want thicker rain I will reinstate it!

Default rain obscures your view quite a bit and headlights make it much worse. The new rain makes it much easier to see.

Great mod, however it would appear the latest update has broken it for me! All rain has reverted to normal awful textures. Playing on Xbox Store version.
it only works on PC Steam & PC Epic
No it worked with the Xbox Game Pass PC version prior to the latest core update.
Sorry, I don't have access to the Game Pass version of the game, only Steam.
I know that that version can cause issues with mods though, sadly
does this mod take away Lightinf flashes and bolts in game i dont see any of them just thunder on all routes
Nope, it doesn't!
You can turn off lightning on the game settings though, maybe that is causing your problem?

thank you for this. I am really disappoiinted that the rain texture has not been improved in tsw3. There are 2 main problems with TSW rain...1. it looks like sleet and 2. the colours of nearby objects are too desaturated (this is not the case in real life). Overall a thouroughly miserable driving experience. Your modification of the rain is a definate improvement and I am glad that you intend to port it to TSW3. DTG continue not to proivide a realistic driving enviroment. TS classic with AP weather is much better and this should not be the case! Thank you for your efforts.
