I wasn't a huge fan of the exaggerated auto exposure in TSW3 where you look at the ground ahead and you get a massive brightness increase, compared to when you look at the sky.
I modified the AE compensation so it's less severe.
There are now three paks:
Level 1 is mid tone, while level 2 almost eliminates the exposure changes as you look up and down.
Level 1a is similar to 1, but strikes a balance where it is slightly brighter than 1 when you look at the horizon. If you feel the ground is TOO dark when more than a third of the camera is looking towards the skies, try this effect. It provides a narrower margin between the exposure from looking up at the sky then down at the ground.
Level 2 is much darker than level 1 or default.
Please only use the ONE you prefer.

Note, this is a CORE change and will affect all TSW3 routes.

Thanks! It was killing me!
In which folder do the files go?
DLC folder. There are three options as above, Choose only one file at a time.
Great mod. My eyes thank you.
Hey Bescot, great mod!
I have tried to come up with a solution to reduce the width of the eye adaptation through the engine.ini but couldn't come up with a solution.
For me, the eye adaptation is way too bright when looking at a dark scene, like the black fuel tank of a locomotive and way too dark when looking at a bright scene like the sky. It would be nice if there was a way to reduce the eye adaptation between dark and bright areas so that it becomes almost unnoticable. Would it be possible for you to make a fourth pak file that narrows down the width of the eye adaptation?
I would really appreciate your efforts!
I spent quite some time trying to do just that, and failed unfortunately!
Really like the mod, Thank you very much for making it, I ended using #1 #1a was a bit on the dark side for me, on some intro scenarrios and in the training center, I will keep trying the three out in other scenarios / rroutes.
very good thank you
While trying to assist another play on DTG forums with Eye adaption and what ini to try, I took a chance and dropped your mod in TSW5 DLC folder and it looks like it is working I used Level 2, but I am also using the modified ini by Jetwash, not sure if the ini Eye adaption is canceling out the mod or they are working together. I dsid gram a few screeenshots 4k and a short video clip.
