IMPORTANT: This EP is installed as a layer - a bit like Mastery Layers - Please read the installation instructions below.
This mod adds loads of extra scenery from extensive foliage, lighting, to clutter, corrects the orientation of various signal boxes.
Due to the editor glitching out and deleting many months of work I had to upload an older backup which means I'm possibly not going to be able to add to this pack, or fix any problems.
There is an optional alternative track and ballast texture mod with thanks to RobS
New: 14 August 2024: Suspension added to the Mk1 and Mk2 coaches
20 August 2024: Updated NTP Coach mod so gangway squeaks can't be heard in the locos
Requirements
Northern Trans-Pennine Manchester to Leeds obvs
Preston / Ormskirk / Blackpool - the mod won't work without it
Installation Instructions
Unzip the TWO pak file into you game's DLC folder, run TSW4, then:
Go to DTG Live tab at top of screen
From there click the Mastery Rewards button
Tick the box labelled "Bescot NTP EP Scenery Layer"
The added scenery will now layer onto your Tees Valley route
There is a reason I've added this as a mastery layer, because it is easier to update/fix this way in the TSW4 Editor. You can still use the official mastery layer, or any other mods at the same time.

Good job !

Massive improvement, it looked so bare before.
Nice work, thanks for your efforts.
I know this might be unrealistic but is it possible to add AWS ramps to this route?
I don't think that's possible. The layer is scenery tiles with no links to the track tiles.
Ah ok, thanks.
Hey Bescot : Great, the line is perfect as well !
Many thanks for making this available. If this was just a backup, I would have really loved to see the full thing!
I know the pain of losing work like that, but I hope you might eventually bring yourself to revisit it again in the future.
While playing the Tees Valley revamp I was thinking how it would be great to have something similar for Transpennine. Great work!
This looks great - thanks for sharing this. The world is devoid of people however, apart from on the immediate inital trains. No new ones seem to spawn. Can you look into this pls?
Lovely enhancement, your work is much appreciated.
I get bad scenery flickering at Leeds station, but fine thereafter (tested at Dewsbury). I removed any mods that might have conflicted and it still occurred. Not a huge deal; I'm sure the benefits are well worth it.
Edit: happened a bit at Manchester too.
Are you using dx12? I believe it can flicker certain shadow techniques. I get that too on other routes.
Yes, that was it. Thank you. I'll stay with DX11 for now.
Great work. Thanks for this very nice Route Update!
Nice one, will install it later. Any chance you could remove that awful default flute sounding noise from the MK2's? It drives me absolutely mad!
Thanks for giving my favourite route a little love.
Thank you for another update to remove those god awful gangway squeaks, I can now enjoy the running sounds and clickety clack on travelling in the MK2's on NTP
Thanks for the idea :)
Is it possible to add Miles Platting Signal Box? I cant believe they left it out!
You could see the box from all around back in the day, and looks bare without it.
Nat.
Many thanks for all your mods!
‘Bescot-NTPCoach_Suspension’ makes me derail my train at the start on London Brighton with the use of the class 375 (for example the scenario 1 A 34 London Victoria Brighton)
I don't think this can be related as NTP stock isn't layered onto the LBN route. I tested this anyway and 1A34 ran normally.
Thanks for the test. It's weird, where I come from it still works... It's probably another mod that's influencing it.
