This replaces the imho highly distracting new strange map background texture with the old one from TSW1-4.
Additionally, the gray version known from Niddertalbahn is available to use, and a purple tinted version. Also, by user request, a plain black blackground.

Installation Instructions
Drop the pak of choice into your
Steam\steamapps\common\Train Sim World 5\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\paks
folder.
Do NOT place it in the DLC folder as usual, this must be put into the PAKS folder to work. Also, I had to try a few filenames to get it loaded on top of the core, so don't rename it else it may fail to load.
Only install one of the mods at a time.

A highly recommended route.
A question, JT used to use a darker version for their Blackpool route, is it possible to create a subversion of this mod that includes that background so players can choose the greenish or the dark grayish one.
That's possible, yes. This mod does not include a texture, only a change of file reference. But of course a custom texture can be added.
I was thinking about making a dark purple version of the default map too, and the Niddertalbahn dark gray to choose from.
Ah it was the Niddertahlbahn version, didn't remember which one had it. But the update is very much appreciated

If you're adding custom backgrounds in the future, would it be possible to include something like a plain black background?
I also wonder, if you made it slightly transparent (if that's even possible), would that enable the player to still see the train as they check the map? That could be useful and kinda cool.
Plain black is no problem.
Transparency is not possible afaik.
