Updated 17 May 24 ATC & Alerter Bells added to LIRR M3
Updated 13 May 24 adding support for the LIRR M3
Fixes running sound volume levels in the cab so you can hear rolling, flange, points/switches, on-train cab rattles, squeaks & wind sounds giving a more immersive sound experience similar to the new LIRR M7/9
New speed curves to adjust flange and brake squeal at lower speeds
Swapped ATC and Alerter beeps on the Long Island M3 to use bells, as per the original TSW2020 version
THIS MOD DOES NOT WORK WHEN DRIVING THE M3 on LIRRv1.
I don't know why, but the audio just dies. Only use on the new LIRR Extended route

Hi, Thanks - I'll have a look at those sounds and see what I can do
Hi, a good mod for uplifting the faint default sounds, but points sound are very loud (sounds like the speakers will blow up) and the motor sounds seem to have disappeared with this.
Could you also maybe please make the airbrake release sound a bit louder too in your next update?
Yea, I've re-upped the pak to make those changes. Trouble with the point sounds is that DTG seems to use the same sound at 5mph than at 70mph and increase the volume for higher speeds. Hope this version is better though.
Great little mod, but i have to agree with the other comments all the sounds seem to just be louder than they need to be.
Thank you for your sound mods! Driving with these is really enjoyable!
Great mod, but the joint sounds are still very loud, even post revision, especially since I play with a subwoofer and desktop speakers. Is it possible to release a separate version without the joint sounds?
I've found clipping which is causing a distortion in a few of the joint sounds and will prepare a revision which should hopefully fix them, on both of the Harlem sets
First of all, I want to say. I really appreciate what you did on both set, and I am really enjoying it. Is it possible, you could add the junction sound from the LIRR, cause that junction sound was really good, and make it a little more clearer because is still a little kind of muff, but to an audio that is really comfortable for everyone here? Also is it possible to make us be able to hear the clickely clack sound, outside the train cause i still somewhat hears its muff, when going over junction and track. Thanks again for this wonderful mod, and i look forward to seeing an update. :)
The track & joint sounds are identical in both LIRR and Harlem. Sorry, I can't increase volume of the junction/joints, as if you read above - any higher than this limit is breaking peoples subwoofer speakers.
How about the clickely clack sound? Is there something you can do about this? Thanks
Is there any way you can increase the AC volume a little louder cause i can't hear the humming of the AC?
If you were to hear the M3 on the LIRR, you can actually hear the humming off the AC on and the fan blowing. Other than that Everything is good.
Sound mod is now perfection! Fantastic work!
PERFECT, The sound is good now, Thanks Bescot :)
Very good sounds ! Thanks
but I have a problem: when I land with the mouse on the controls in the cabin they appear in English while my game is in French.
By removing the patch I find my command description in French (Language of my game)
Thanks in any case
hello Besco : the addon works perfectly. I find the description of the commands in French
Thank's a lot !
Hi there, this is a huge improvement very well done, I was just wondering if you could remove the traction motor sound as in reality you can barely hear them, and even if you can they do not sound like the ones DTG used XD
Many thanks.
the engine sounds are very loud now
I cannot win - there are people who say they are too loud, some say too quiet. I haven't touched the motor sounds at all so this must be a placebo. If you check inside the pak you'll find NO motor sounds as the mod just uses the original ones!
Unless you mean the AC fans? They are loud in reality but I'll see what feedback I get off others
then it must be the fans that are louder but anyways real good work thx !!
Yes, sorry they are too loud, not the same version as I've been testing myself. Update coming shortly
After downloading the latest version, there's the loud ambient noise in the cab the whole time. Maybe you could reduce them down a little bit and maybe make the airbrake release sound a bit louder.
Yes, sorry the HVAC is too loud. Update coming shortly
do ya think you could spice up LIRR with these sound enhancements? I like the route but the sounds arent buying it for me unlike MNRR. Especially with the M3, the door sounds are a hudge yikes, and the only sound mod that fixed them aint compatable anymore
is it possible if you could do one for sandpatch? to make the wheel bogie and joints and clatter sounds louder and more realistic? also i like transpo's suggestion.
good sounds btw
Have you tried Bescot-CoreUSfreightcarsounds.pak from https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c3-train-sim-world-2/c20-sounds/i2430-bescot-tmd-mini-sound-mods
.
i'll try it out i don't know how i missed it. i was kinda thinking of using the krellnut ones originally made for train simulator 2015 now train simulator classic, but thanks. i'll let you know how it sounds
i tried them but they sound a bit too quiet. but i tell you what. i got some us freight train wheel sounds i recorded from youtube videos. problem is i don't really know how the create a pak from it. if you have the time and can show me how to do it that's be great. thanks. or we could work on it together if it's ok

Does this work with Epic Games version?
Thank you so much for your hard work; these new sounds are fantastic!
The M3 in LIRR really needs your sounds.
Ha, Unfortunately they won't work in the LIRRM3. It doesn't have anything like the same file structure and it's a lot less detailed from an audio perspective.
I've been doing some work, and I'm pleased to say it can be done :)
How should a soundmod like this be made
There is a tutorial from a modder known as itsya165 on YouTube.
Thank
Good job !
Please can you make a mod that literally just shuts up that AC noise. That way i can actually hear everything
With this recent update, could or will this work with TSW3.
You could try it. I don't have TSW3 installed to see.
I did install it to TSW3, and it seems as though it does not work, well not as it does in the new LIRR, the game runs great with no crashes, but I will do more testing. For now, I would say the Jury is out.
The update to the LIRR M3's sounds are really nice. It was too quiet compared to the M7 and the M9, it's pretty much perfect now. With the M3 jumping all over on the tracks, the rattle really adds to the immersion. Maybe the flange squeal is a bit annoying, it is just a constant sound even on slight curves, but not too big of an issue.
And I really love that this mod brough back the old style ring for the warning bells! Overall great job, my man.
Oh, I love this rattling and squeaking during the ride !! I have a buttkicker gamer attached to my chair and I can feel every junction on my ...butt ! GREAT JOB !!!

Points sound very loud on high speed (aproximary at 30+ MpH). Fix it, please, and it will be one of the best sound mod
